Do you know about automobile inspection tools?
Do you know the difference between automotive inspection tools and molds?
I will share with you
The car itself is assembled from a lot of parts. It can only enter the sales market after passing various functional and performance tests. The early production of the car is inseparable from molds and inspection tools. So what is the difference between the two?
A fixture is a testing tool set up for a product to be inspected. It is referred to as a fixture or automotive fixture. Currently, it is mostly used in the inspection of automotive parts. The fixture is a tool to check whether the product conforms to the design data. Whether it is a plastic part or a sheet metal part, the product is clamped to the fixture to check whether the product’s form and position tolerances meet the design requirements.
Molds are production tools for parts. They have a wide range of applications, including stamping, injection molding, blow molding, forging, die-casting, extrusion, etc. Product materials involve hardware, plastic, rubber, glass, etc. Molds are tailored to different products and technical requirements. Different types of molds use different materials and processing techniques in their structures.
For example, the structure of a plastic mold is composed of a front mold and a back mold, while the structure of a hardware mold is composed of an upper mold and a lower mold. There are also other types of structures that are different. Simply put, the mold changes the shape of the material through different shapes and structures to obtain a specific desired product.
